How to remove a user
When someone leaves, you can remove or deactivate their access so they can no longer sign in to your workspace.
#When to use this
Use this when an employee or collaborator leaves, or when you need to revoke someone's access.
#Step by step
1
Open the users area
Go to team or user management.
2
Select the person
Find the user you want to remove.
3
Remove or deactivate access
Apply the action that ends their access, following any confirmation.
#Expected result
What you should see
The person can no longer sign in, and their access to your workspace is revoked.
#Common mistakes
- Removing the wrong user with a similar name.
- Removing a user who still owns records without reassigning them first.
#Troubleshooting
| If this happens | Try this |
|---|---|
| The user still has access | Confirm the change saved; you can also force sign-out across sessions. |
| Their work is now unassigned | Reassign their leads, tasks, or tickets to another team member. |
#Best practices
- Reassign a departing person's work before removing them.
- Review access regularly and remove people who no longer need it.
